The Moon Village Association ( MVA; http://moonvillageassociation.org  ) is non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Vienna. The goal of the MVA is to advance the permanent expansion of human activity to the Moon and cis-Lunar space. The MVA has created a permanent global informal forum for stakeholders like governments, industry, academia and the public interested in the concept of a “Moon Village”. The MVA fosters cooperation among existing and planned global moon exploration programs, be they public or private initiatives. It comprises approximately 150 individual and institutional members from more than 34 countries around the globe and represents a diverse array of technical, scientific, cultural and interdisciplinary fields.

The Association partners with non-space organizations to promote international discussions and formulation of plans to foster the implementation of the Moon Village concept and is creating international, national and regional networks to engage civil society around the world. Each year, the MVA organizes individual working groups to address key questions related to lunar development and settlement, and holds a major international workshop and symposium.

We encourage participation in the November 4-5, 2018 International Moon Village Workshop and Symposium by SSS members and meeting attendees; please see https://moonvillageassociation.org/the-2nd-international-moon-village-workshop-symposium/.

Please be aware that registration at the two events is separate; however, the events are sharing the Radisson at USC as their conference hotel (see the information provided separately).
